Risk Solutions / Business Development Analyst

Overview
This Analyst will have responsibilities across Business Development and Risk Advisory, covering a range of client facing and analytical functions. Responsibilities:
Deliver customized market risk solutions to existing and prospective clients.
Work with clients to identify and quantify market risk at their funds, portfolio companies, and other constituents, and structure derivative-based solutions to mitigate those exposures.
Leverage existing Validus relationships and personal network to drive business development efforts for new and existing clients.
Support senior team members on sales initiatives and client management.
Attend client, industry, and networking events.
Coordinate sales and client management efforts in an organized and efficient manner.
Manage project and retainer work streams and assist with and/or lead engagements.
Design creative client solutions backed by rigorous analytical evidence.
Adhere to Financial Conduct Authority Rules and Regulations.
Adhere to all internal policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance and understanding of security best practices across team in line with Validus ISO Policy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree as a minimum requirement.
Knowledgeable about FX and/or interest rate derivatives and how these products can be used from a risk management perspective.
Existing network across private capital managers, corporates, etc. is a plus.
Positive attitude and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills, strong numerical skills, and an analytical mindset.
Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and under tight deadlines.
Passionate about finance, markets, and the alternative asset management space.
A desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment, where we are constantly looking for ways to improve.
