Fund-Level Hedging
Fund Finance

Validus Horizon is an award-winning, hyper-customizable platform and the centerpiece of our analytics-powered approach. Use it to monitor hedging positions across multiple metrics, while simplifying processes and radically reducing error.
Active risk oversight across exposures, liquidity, hedge effectiveness and counterparties. RiskView helps teams monitor thresholds before they become breaches, giving actionable views of where risk is building across funds, share classes and portfolios. Riskview enables better-informed decisions across complex hedging and market risk programs

An order and execution management platform built for private capital. TradeView supports the full execution workflow, from trade requests and approvals through pricing, execution, hedge expiry management, transaction cost analysis and post-trade oversight. More than a traditional OEMS, it is designed around the specialized controls, workflows and reporting needs of private capital hedging.

Portfolio-level visibility for ongoing calibration and management. PortfolioView brings together exposures, coverage, debt positions and hedging activity so teams can see where adjustments may be needed. Designed to support active portfolio oversight, it helps managers assess risk, liquidity and coverage considerations across complex private capital structures.

Purpose-built technology for fund finance operations. FundFinanceOps helps managers streamline debt facilities, borrowing base calculations, covenant compliance and capital activity workflows — from commitments and capital calls to distributions and recallables. It brings structure and visibility to processes often fragmented across documents, spreadsheets, administrators and lenders.

Applied AI and machine learning where they create real value. Validus uses advanced technology to improve specific workflows, from document-heavy onboarding and fund finance processes to complex modelling, scenario analysis and decision support. The focus is practical and defensible: stronger workflows, faster analysis and expert-led decisions, not generic AI claims.

Onboard in days, not weeks
Credit agreements can run to hundreds of pages. Parsing the covenants, facility terms and reporting triggers that govern your facility by hand is slow and error-prone. Our agentic workflows bring that unstructured data directly into Horizon, giving you a clean, fully-owned dataset – and the tools to manage your facility from day one.
Get live liquidity impact calcs at the time of hedge execution.
Machine learning and parallel compute collapse a calculation that used to run overnight into near real time – so every hedge is evaluated, priced, and executed with a precise view of liquidity impact. Monitor liquidity risk across portfolios with real-time stress testing, margin threshold analysis, and exposure monitoring.

Horizon is Validus’ connected technology platform for private capital workflows. It brings together risk oversight, trade execution, portfolio visibility, fund finance operations, quantitative analytics and applied AI/ML in one environment. The goal is to help teams manage complex capital markets activity with stronger visibility, control and decision support.
Horizon is built around a unified architecture, with purpose-built modules for specific workflows. RiskView, TradeView, PortfolioView and Fund Finance Ops can be used individually or together, but they are designed to connect through a common technology and data layer — a ‘one model for all’ approach where clients choose the services they need while still benefiting from connected workflows.
TradeView includes order management functionality, but it is broader than a basic OMS. It is better positioned as an order execution management platform for private capital, supporting execution workflows, pricing, approvals, hedge expiry management, transaction cost analysis and post-trade oversight.
RiskView supports active risk oversight across exposures, liquidity, hedge effectiveness and counterparty risk. It helps teams monitor thresholds, CSA exposure and potential liquidity pressure before they become larger issues — positioned around liquidity, complexity management, pricing, transaction costs and threshold visibility.
PortfolioView gives teams a clearer view of portfolio exposures, coverage, debt positions and hedging activity in one place — with debt and hedging positions shown together. The core message is portfolio-level calibration and ongoing management.
Fund Finance Ops supports the operational work behind debt facilities, borrowing base visibility, covenant compliance and capital activity management. Relevant capital activities include commitments, capital calls, distributions and recallables — plus real-time visibility, covenant checks, audit trails, administrator workflows and forecasting.
Validus uses AI and machine learning selectively, where they materially improve workflows, modelling or decision support. Current examples include fund finance document onboarding, liquidity-at-risk calculations, the quant engine’s use of machine learning and document automation. Broader AI capabilities such as user experience enhancements and specialised agents should be framed as vision rather than fully shipped functionality.
The Quant Engine is Validus’ proprietary quantitative infrastructure supporting advanced analytics across Horizon. It powers complex calculations such as liquidity-at-risk, transaction cost analysis, scenario modelling, hedge analytics and pricing — a single quantitative framework that supports consistency across advisory, trading and financing workflows.
